With the pitch display, start with some simple scales on a vowel The pitch display will show steadiness of tone, and help show your student if the intervals are not quite there. For more advanced students, you can focus on the transitions between notes - are they direct? Scooped? Overshot? Spectrogram The spectrogram can show the presence of the "singer's formant" as a bright band of energy between the 2 and 4kHz lines. Or the quality and consistency of vowels sung across the range. With onsets, look for a clean start to the phonation with a clear harmonic pattern. Read the Teachers' Manual.
